Cub Scout Day Camp

Have you ever seen that spark in someone when they do something for the first time? Maybe it’s lighting a fire. Maybe they finally passed that swim test. Maybe they hit the bullseye on a target. Maybe it’s their first time seeing a bald eagle or osprey soaring through the sky. Be a part of camp staff this summer and introduce Scouts to the joy of outdoor discovery. It is one of the coolest summer jobs you could ever have!
You’re not just a travel agency for Cub Scouts. Be THE BEST travel agency for Cub Scouts. Apply to work at Camp Snyder, where the 2022 Camp Theme – Passport to Adventure – is imaginatively carried through boating, crafts, nature, swimming, archery, and all camp activities as Cub Scouts and their leaders have fun in the outdoors.
Staff must be 15 years of age or older to be an instructor and 16 or older to work at Goshen’s Lenhok’sin High Adventure. Not yet 15? In 2021, 138 Scouts BSA earned over 500 Merit Badges from 45 different offerings, including Eagle required Merit Badges at the Camp Snyder Scouts BSA Specialty Week.
Camp Snyder has some amazing facilities. Among those are the Woodshop, STEM facility, swimming pool, archery and air rifle ranges, Scouterhorn climbing tower and amphitheater. We have created a Scouts BSA Specialty week with the activities Scouts expect from a summer camp. Want to earn your Woodworking or Woodcarving Merit Badge? Want to learn about Drones and spend some time in the STEM lab? Or, learn the basic Scouting skills needed to advance in rank, like how to start a fire, prepare an outdoor meal or safely use a knife and axe? Come out and spend a week of your summer at Camp Snyder!
Combine your interest in merit badges and rank advancement with camping, dining, swimming, boating, and many other summer camp favorites. Scouts can participate as units or individuals, as day campers or as overnight campers.
