Many gathered in reverence to Scout Sunday at Kirkwood Presbyterian Church. BSA Troop 1140-B, Pack 1140 and GSA Troops 4001 & 52054, both sponsored by Kirkwood participated in the day’s events.
The units provide all of the Greeters, Ushers, Acolytes, Lay Readers, Charter Presenters, a Musician, and 3 out of the 4 units had a Presenter discussing what that unit did in the previous year (usually a youth).


Other units who were represented by members of Kirkwood’s congregation were Troops 1345-G, 1849-B, 1853-G, & 1865-G and Crew 1620.

On Scout Sunday, mass at Blessed Sacrament was celebrated with Scouts from across the Colonial Districts. Participating units included Pack, Troop and Crew 129 chartered by Westminster Presbyterian Church, Troop 1515 from St. Stephens and St. Agnes Schools, and Pack 614 chartered by James K. Polk PTA.
On January 20th, Scout Executive Craig Poland presented the NCAC Centennial Club award to Pastor Tracy McNeil Vines during Scout Sunday observance at the Clarendon United Methodist Church in Arlington, Virginia. The church is one of only four in the Council that has sponsored Scouting for over 100 consecutive years!
