Make something Monday is HUGE – Huge like bubbles.  Do your best at making bubble solution and blowing the biggest bubbles you can.  Share a video of your best ones!

It’s time to Do Something Thoughtful Thursday

Moving every day is an important part of staying healthy.  Some movements can help to relax – Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese traditional exercise that focuses on control and breathing.  It can improve balance, reduce stress, and build strength.

Happy Independence Day!

Today – Have a “Family – Fun -Flag – Fourth” and spend some time celebrating the birth of our Nation, and join with other Scouts across NCAC for events with Flags, Food, Fitness, more Food, more Flags, and Fireworks!
And since it’s Safety Saturday, make sure that you stay safe whether you are cooking, playing outdoors, or watching fireworks.

Time to get outside again!  Take a walk or hike around your home and see how many types of leaves and plants you can identify.  With your parents or guardians help, you can use a smartphone app like iNaturalist to help figure out what kinds of plants grow near you.Make sure you keep logging your activity on your ScoutStrong tracking sheet, too!

For today, take a walk around your home or neighborhood and see if you can identify six signs of animals.  If you see a live animal, be sure to keep a respectful distance.  You might find shed antlers, skins, tracks, or droppings – they all count!

Remember the Outdoor Code. Cub Scouts of every rank can complete at least one adventure requirement with this activity – Check your book for what you can do!

Scouting At Home Challenge!

Pack 2019 Lions Say “I’ll Do It Myself”

The girls’ and boys’ Lions Dens from Pack 2019 at the All Dulles Area Muslim Society in Sterling, VA, completed their “I’ll Do It Myself” adventure. They made and decorated bags to keep their Scout swag organized and on hand. Each Scout chose how they wanted to decorate and with their parent partners’ help used glue guns, foam letters, glitter glue, and a slew of other craft supplies to make their bags shine.

These two dens have already earned their Lion’s Honor, Animal Kingdom, and King of the Jungle adventure loops and are well on their way to earning their full Lion ranks! Pack 2019 has girls’ dens for Lions, Wolves, and Bears, and are welcoming more Scouts every day.
